Welcome to the Restorative Yoga Workshop with Eliza Belle, sponsored by XloveCam. In this tutorial, we will guide you through a relaxing and rejuvenating restorative yoga practice that will help you release stress and tension from your body and mind.
To begin, find a quiet and comfortable space where you can practice without any distractions. You will need a yoga mat, two blocks, a bolster, and a blanket for this practice. Make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement and stretch.
Start by sitting on your mat in a comfortable cross-legged position. Place your blocks on either side of you for support. Take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Allow yourself to let go of any tension or tightness in your body.
Next, extend your legs out in front of you and place the bolster underneath your knees for support. Relax your arms by your sides and close your eyes. Take a few moments to focus on your breath, letting go of any thoughts or worries that may be on your mind.
From here, we will move into a supported child’s pose. Bring your knees wide apart and place the bolster in front of you. Lower your chest onto the bolster and rest your forehead on the mat. Extend your arms out in front of you or place them by your sides for a deeper stretch. Take deep breaths in this pose, feeling your body relax and release tension.
Continue on with different restorative yoga poses and stretches, focusing on deep breathing and relaxation throughout the practice. Remember to listen to your body and only go as far as feels comfortable for you.
After completing the practice, take a few moments to lie on your back in savasana, or corpse pose. Close your eyes and focus on your breath, allowing your body to fully relax and unwind.
