Well, this tutorial is here to guide you through everything you need to know about news feeds and how you can utilize them effectively.
First off, when a member adds you to their friends list on MFC, they will receive news straight from you. This is a great opportunity for you to advertise any special promotions you may have, offer offline deals, or simply let your friends know when you’ll be broadcasting. You can use the news feed to announce when you’ll be going live, what activities you’ll be doing in your show, or any goals you may have. It’s a great way to stay connected with your audience even when you’re not actively broadcasting.
So, how does the news feed work? When a member adds you to their friends list, they will automatically receive updates from your news feed. Whether they are on the main page, in another room, or just browsing the site, they will see your posts pop up on their screen. This is a fantastic way to reach out to potential viewers who may have added you as a friend but haven’t interacted with you yet.
To access your news feed, simply log in to your MFC account and go to the main page. Click on “Edit Profile” under the menu tab on the right side of the screen. From there, you can navigate to the “News Feed” section and start posting updates. You have 140 characters to work with, much like Twitter, to share information with your followers.
You can post about offline deals, online promotions, upcoming broadcasts, or anything else you think your audience would be interested in. Just be mindful not to spam the news feed with excessive posts. Use it strategically to keep your audience informed and engaged.
In addition to viewing your own news feed, you can also see updates from other models you follow or explore news feeds from all models on MFC. You can filter the news feeds by cam score, model or member posts, and even see any new updates from MyFreeCams itself.
