Russia has banned two of the internet’s most popular webcam services, Bongacams and Chaturbate. These websites were among 20 adult sites targeted by Russia’s media censor, Roskomnadzor, following an October 2017 order from a Yaroslavl court. The court ordered the prosecution of these websites, which feature live individual and group acts of sexual activity, where visitors can join free chat rooms and actors, or pay for private shows.
