Walkthrough for CoD5 modding | Export Xmodels with Bind (no weapons)
Tutorial Xmodels
**Tutorial: CoD5 Modding – Export Xmodels with Bind (no weapons)**
Hello everyone! Today I bring you a new tutorial where we will learn how to export xmodels that are related to movements, except for weapons. Weapons are a different case that we won’t cover in this tutorial.
First, let’s open our modeling tool. In this case, I am using Maya. You can use any modeling tool you prefer. Once it’s open, drag and drop the xmodel file into the scene. You should see the binding joints.
Next, go to Window > Outliner and select everything. If you encounter any bone errors, you can safely delete them. Proceed to the next step.
Now, go to the plugin and export the xmodel. Name the file, select the location, and export it. Once done, open Xmodel Manager, import the exported model, and fix any material issues you may encounter.
Now, let’s create an entry in Xmodel Manager for the model. Make sure to name it properly and select the animated option. Copy the material names, convert them to .xt5 format if needed, and assign them to the model.
If you encounter any errors during the conversion process, it could be due to repeated materials or incorrect surface types. Be sure to fix these issues before proceeding.
Finally, export the model and repeat the process for each material and xmodel in Xmodel Manager.
I hope you found this tutorial helpful. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Thanks for watching, and see you next time!
Here I will show you how to export xmodels with bind but not weapons as it is more complicated and I still don’t have a clear idea how to do it but still this is very useful as you can export on your own, player , zombies and hands. If you want you can even help the community by uploading files as packages, that would be a great idea of yours. PS: I wanted to finish this topic later so I skipped second takes and since the video was interrupted by stupid things, I apologize as I put a lot of effort into my tutorial videos and try to make them understandable for everyone Guys, the thing is that I think I already take this tutorial topic for granted and I think that I have already talked about the most important and least seen topics about modding in COD5, I think I will make a video I’ll tell you more and good if you read this. Till the end I thank you because I know these videos were helpful for you and you were waiting to see more 🙂 If you liked it, like and subscribe to see more videos like this.
