In this video, we will talk about how to simultaneously stream on more than 30 sites using SplitCam. I will demonstrate on MyFreeCams, but you can also find more tutorial videos on our YouTube channel on how to add other platforms of your interest.
First, let’s set up our scene with what we will be broadcasting. Let’s add a top camera and microphone. If you haven’t done this before, click on the Media tab and choose Webcam, insert the resolution, frames per second, and click on the camera. Then click on the Media tab again, choose Microphone, select the microphone, and click on Audio. You can also add a browser demonstration, screen image, video, slideshow, audio, or text. You can add multiple scenes with different program settings and switch between them at any time. Let’s add an image to the second scene. To switch to the scene you want, just click on it.
Now, let’s add MyFreeCams to our program. Go to the MyFreeCams site, log in with your username and password, go to the Models page, select External Podcast from the menu, click on Setup Information at the bottom, find the public string, copy the key, go back to SplitCam, and click on Stream Settings at the top right. After that, a box will open with the channels previously added, click on the blue 5 Channel button, select MyFreeCams from the list, click Continue, choose a stream name, paste the key copied earlier, choose the recommended stream settings or manually select them. Make sure your webcam resolution matches the stream settings. Click Save and Close. Now go to the StripChat site, log in, click Start Broadcasting, scroll down, click on Start Broadcasting again, switch to external software, show streaming settings, copy the stream key, go back to SplitCam, click on Stream Settings and Channel, find StripChat, click on New, enter a stream name, paste the key, click Save and Close. Now, click on Stream Settings, select the sites you want to stream to by toggling the sliders to make them blue, then click Go Live. If the sliders turn green, the stream is successful.
